Dr Dre Can’t Catch A Break!! New Lawsuit Filed Against Him By Suge Knight For $300M

Suge Knight may be sitting behind bars in his murder trial, but now the former rap mogul has filed a lawsuit against Dr. Dre to the tune of $300 million. Suge even claims that his former protege tried to have him killed to avoid paying money he owed. Wow!

Knight’s lawsuit is a response to a wrongful death lawsuit filed against Knight, Dre, Ice Cube and Universal Music. That suit was filed by Lilian Carter, the widow of Terry Carter, who was run over and killed by Knight’s truck during filming of the NWA biopic “Straight Outta Compton”.

Suge faces a murder charge for Terry Carter’s death. Knight claims Dre was responsible for the incident in which Carter was killed, claiming he was trying to escape men who were trying to kill him.

In addition, Suge claims Dre was behind an incident in a Hollywood club in August 2014, in which Knight was shot multiple times.

Knight claims the bad blood between himself and Dre came after Dre ended their business relationship in 1996. Dre had reportedly agreed to a lifetime management agreement, entitling Knight to 30% of Dre’s earnings for the rest of his career. The new lawsuit claims that percentage of Dre’s income from the $3 billion sale of headphone company Beats to Apple, and his profits from “Straight Outta Compton.”

Suge’s new lawsuit also states that Cle Sloan – one of two people Knight reportedly tried to attack him on the night Carter was killed – was hired to “handle the Suge Knight problem” on the set of “Straight Outta Compton.” Cle reportedly brought in 100 gang members as security.

Dr. Dre’s lawyer, Howard King, said of the new lawsuit by Suge in a statement, “Given that Dre has had zero interaction with Suge since leaving Death Row Records in 1996, we hope that Suge’s lawyer has lots of malicious-prosecution insurance.”

Suge is suing Dre, Apple, Universal and Tam’s Burgers in Compton where the car incident occurred for unspecified damages. Since the deadly hit-and-run, Knight has been in jail facing 30 years in prison for a host of charges.
