That’s going to be one pretty cool baby! Rapper and Law & Order: SVU star Ice T and his wife of 14 years, Nicole “Coco” Austin, confirmed her pregnancy on Monday, July 27, and the couple is over the moon to have their big secret out in the open.

“I’ve been pregnant for a while, but we’ve been holding it between us for some time,” mom-to-be Coco, 36, told New York City’s Fox 5 news in a phone interview after they shared their happy news on Twitter.

Audience members at the Friday, July 24 taping of the couple’s upcoming talk show, Ice & Coco, were among the first to hear the news. “It was a really awesome moment. I cried,” she shared, adding that the special reveal will air on the show’s Aug. 3 premiere. “It was a nice feeling to know that the world knows and I don’t have to hide it.”

The duo’s baby joy has been a long time coming, as fans of their E! reality show, Ice Loves Coco, will recall. In 2012, Ice T’s wife broke down in tears after learning her blood pressure was too high to safely carry a baby. Two years later, the buxom blonde had gotten her health under control and was taking prenatal vitamins.

The model said she’ll document her first pregnancy on Ice & Coco this summer. “[We’ll share] all the juicy details: How far along I am, the gender,” she hinted to Fox 5. One thing that has surprised the mom-to-be so far? Just how easily she actually got pregnant! “It wasn’t a big deal. It was actually shocking how easily it happened,” she said. “It’s beautiful how life actually works. Now that I have a little thing inside of me moving around, it’s amazing.”

Mere hours after their announcement, Ice T was overwhelmed by the outpouring of support. “We want to say thank you to everyone for the overwhelming LOVE you are sending us! We appreciate you,” he tweeted.

This will be the first child for Coco, and the third for her husband, 57, who has two adult children from previous relationships, as well as a 20-year-old grandson.
