A community alert has went out in the West Pullman area on the far south side of Chicago. Police are saying the assault in the West Pullman area may be linked to the same person suspected in other assaults.

CHICAGO-Three sexual assaults in the city’s West Pullman neighborhood on the Far South Side may have been committed by the same offender, Chicago police say.
Chicago police issued an alert on Tuesday. Officials said the offender approaches a victim from behind, shows a handgun or implies he has one, and then covers the victim’s head with a piece of clothing and forces her into a vehicle where the sexual assault occurs.
Three attacks occurred near South Parnell Avenue between West 124th Street and West 129th Place. The dates and times have not been released.
The suspect is a 5’10, 200 pound black male. In one of the attacks, he was wearing a black North Face jacket and blue jeans.
