Chicago is also known as a town full of musical geniuses. The city is huge on live entertainment, live bands and soulful singers, dancers and actors.
The music & entertainment scene over the past decade has fallen into a disturbing decline as many entertainers and promoters have left the city once they “Got On” as many people in the CHI would say.
Mary Datcher is an extraordinary Innovator, Entrepreneur, Music Business Icon and one of the most successful female pioneers in the midwest and she’s keeping the R&B, Hip Hop, music and entertainment scene alive. She believes in the people and artists of Chicago which keeps her steadfast in her quest to promote and introduce artists that would otherwise not have been given a chance or recognition.
As the Creator and founder of Global Mixx, she has given both professional as well as amateur artist a platform to be seen and heard by thousands; she also holds seminars to train and educate upcoming artists and other music professionals about the business of Music & Entertainment.
Mary was also very instrumental in implementing the creation of the Core DJ’s Retreat which allowed DJ’s to build their brand, network with artists, Publishers and other DJ’s.
As one of the few successful females left in this male dominated industry and the Managing Editor of Windy City Word news paper, she continues to set the bar extremely high with an incredibly exceptional standard.
