Evelyn Lozada‘s exes sure have a lot to say these days. First Antoine Walker, now Chad Johnson.

While participating in “Throwback Thursday,” the former NFL star took to Twitter to reflect on the August 2012 incident in which Johnson was charged with domestic battery for headbutting his wife of just six weeks. The star admitted that his sudden rage against Lozada cost him everything.

“3 seconds of anger cost me a lifetimes [sic] worth of work…” he wrote. The tweet was accompanied with a picture of Johnson handcuffed in court.

He continued, “I LOVE everything in sight for a reason, those few seconds I stopped doing so… Now that was a #TBT.”

 

Johnson and Lozada tied the knot on July 4, 2012 in Miami after dating for approximately two years. But by August, the “Basketball Wives” star had filed for divorce due to their violent altercation.

Johnson was released from the Miami Dolphins just days after the incident and received a year of probation after pleading no contest to the battery charge. He’s reportedly suiting up for a football team in Canada, but it’s safe to say Johnson’s time in the NFL has come to a close.

Throughout it all, Johnson says he’s never lost love for Lozada. In an interview back in April, he explained, “Yeah, love don’t go nowhere like that. I will always love her, matter fact I love every goddamn body to an extent, it ain’t going nowhere.”
