Hey everyone, I am checking in with everyone and letting you know how my 2nd day of my “Building A Better Me” is going. I want to share a few things that I was able to complete on my first day .
In my first post I talked about food prep. I was able to prep my fruit for my morning smoothie and veggie soup for lunch or dinner. My veggie soup was made with chicken broth and water( cut down sodium), fresh mushrooms, mince garlic, peas, carrots, green beans, corn, onion and tons of herbs.
My second day of the challenge got off to a great start. I worked out for 2 hours after making my own breakfast sandwich with tea. My breakfast sandwich was made with 2 eggs, 2 slices of turkey bacon, 2% cheddar cheese on a sandwich thin bread. I love sweets so a added a few grapes to complete the meal.
After my workout, I made sure that I had something good to snack on because working out makes me very hungry. I packed cucumbers with lemon and vinegar and grape with pineapples. This snack lasted until I got home and made me a turkey chop salad but whats so funny is that I was craving cereal as I ate my salad. My turkey chop salad included spinach, spring mix lettuce, romaine lettuce, 2% cheese, sautéed mushrooms, croutons and a little Italian dressing.
Even though I did some positive things yesterday , I did fall prey to my craving and a bowl of cereal (Trix) which I actually measured out … lol ..I’m not mad about giving in but learning how to control the intake of the craving. I am staying focus is working on day three. I’m changing my life one day at a time.
