Bobbi Kristina’s Family Issues Update And Blast Media Reports

Update: Bobby Brown’s lawyer released this statement Tuesday: “We support the candlelight vigil for Bobbi Kristina. The Brown family is amazed by the love and support from all that attended. However the false reports that continue to appear in print and on the Internet are egregious, false and will be dealt with at an appropriate time. In particular, the false reporting of TMZ, The National Enquirer, The Atlanta Journal Constitution and the Daily Mail (UK) citing, police sources, family sources and Bobby Brown himself, will receive my attention. The desire to be ‘first’ has clouded the judgment of many reporters as they forgo accuracy. This is a criminal investigation and the integrity of that process requires silence.”

“We continue to request privacy in this matter. We thank everyone that supported the vigil for Bobbi Kristina. God is hearing our prayers,” said Bobby Brown.

As supporters turned out at a public prayer vigil for Bobbi Kristina Brown, members of her father’s family are giving an update on her condition.

Tina and Shayne Brown — sister and nephew to Bobby Brown — told “Entertainment Tonight” that they are staying positive.

“She’s progressing,” Shayne Brown said Monday. “She’s getting better. We just ask for people to continue to pray.”

“Krissy will be good. Everything will be alright,” he added.

Bobbi Kristina Brown, the only daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, has been hospitalized since being found unresponsive in a bathtub inside a townhouse in Roswell, Georgia, right outside Atlanta, on Jan. 31.

They also said that Bobby Brown, who has been at his daughter’s side for more than a week, is holding up well considering the circumstances.

“Uncle’s in good spirits,” Shayne Brown told ET. “It’s just family issues right now. Uncle just wants his privacy. The family wants its privacy.”

There have been mixed reports about the 21-year-old’s health status. Last week, Bobby Brown’s lawyer refuted reports that family members were saying their goodbyes: “If we issued a statement every time the media published a false report regarding this matter, that’s all we would be doing 24 hours a day. This is false, just as is the vast majority of the other reporting that is currently taking place.” Earlier that week, the family also released a statement saying she is “fighting for her life.”

Police in the Atlanta area have reportedly begun a criminal investigation in the case — possibly looking into foul play.
