BET has pumped the breaks on Pooch Hall’s prospective return to “The Game.”
BET giveth and BET taketh away. The “Ray Donovan” star, who played Derwin Davis on BET’s hit show, shut down speculation that he and Tia Mowry-Hardrict might make a comeback as Melanie and Derwin Davis.
Last week it was reported that Wendy Raquel Robinson said producers were trying to work on bringing Melanie and Derwin back into “The Game” last cycle, hinting that they may pull it off this season. Unfortunately, Pooch had to let fans down easy a few days ago.
“im SORRY YALL I KNO IM NOT… im on my @SHO_RayDonovan ish right now…. chk us out,” Pooch tweeted to fans upon hearing the gossip about his possible return to the show. “Nooooooo im sorry… idk where this stuff is comin from… dont let them gas you boo… im done.”
It’s not like a come back for the first couple “The Game” was never in the works, though. Pooch admitted that he and Tia almost popped up on the dramedy again, but he noted that BET opted not to follow through.
