Ayesha Curry, the wife of Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry, ruffled a few feathers this past weekend while pointing out what she saw as the latest fashion trend. Needless to say, the observation didn’t end well for the basketball wife.
“Everyone’s into barely wearing clothes these days huh? Not my style. I like to keep the good stuff covered up for the one who matters,” she tweeted. “Just looking at the latest fashion trends. I’ll take classy over trendy any day of the week. #saturdaynightinsight.”
Ayesha’s remarks were met with criticism from Twitter users who believed she was “slut-shaming” some women for how they dress [cue the trending topic and Twitter debates].
