There are so many hate groups and racist people out on social media than ever before.  So many have threatened President Barrack Obama also referring to he and his wife as Apes, Gorillas and Monkey’s.  There have been nooses put around mock images of the president and no one arrested.

What this young man posted on Twitter is horrendous but is no worse than the posts that read “Kill All Black People” in various hate groups on Facebook, so why was this man so quick to be arrested and others not?

Hate, racism and threats are all to be taken serious regardless of the color of the person.  Dylan Roof posted all sorts of heinous things on his social media and was only arrested after he acted on it killing 9 African Americans in a church.

Your words matter.  All this” I have  free speech” and people saying I can post what I want on my page is not true.  You cannot threaten people verbally, by intimidation nor by posting on social media or you will get arrested.

A man’s threat to “purge” and “kill all the white people” led to his arrest and to ramped up police security in the area.

The 20-year-old Carlos Anthony Hollins took to Twitter on Wednesday and wrote, using the hashtag #BlackLivesMatter, “I’M NOT GONNA STAND FOR THIS NO. MORE. TONIGHT WE PURGE! KILL ALL THE WHITE PPL IN THE TOWN OF LA PLATA.”

Although Hollins was arrested and taken into custody on charges of threats of mass violence, the police have taken steps to add extra officers on patrol in the area as a precautionary measure.
