Actress Tika Sumpter’s mother Janice Aquista Arrested in South Carolina for $10.00 in overdue library books. She was issued a warrant and taken in for lockup.
Tika took to Twitter and said her mother was treated like a criminal over $10.00 late fee, she did, however, say every cop at the jail were in total disbelief and found it absolutely ridiculous.
Her mother who happens to be a retired corrections officer with a clean record has since been released.
