Isaiah Washington is no stranger to controversy. But the outspoken actor seems to have met his match on Twitter.

Washington landed in the cross hairs of the social media mob on Wednesday after he tweeted a little unsolicited advice to Chris Rock on how to deal with alleged police profiling.

“I sold my $90,000.00 Mercedes G500 and bought 3 Prius’s, because I got tired of being pulled over by Police. #Adapt @chrisrock,” Washington tweeted.

After Twitter users came hard for Washington, he followed it up with a tweet saying: “Anyway, you millennial’s critique and misconstrue my message to @chrisrock I’m getting back to my work to help free all y’all. #Truthdom.”

His comments didn’t go over too well, with many Twitter users accusing Washington of being out of touch, including The Roots drummer Questlove, who said a Prius is not a solution to the problem of ‘Driving While Black.’

“The 100” actor’s tweets were prompted by earlier social media posts from “Top Five” actor-director Rock saying he had been stopped by police three times in two months — suggesting he was being racially profiled.

“Stopped by the cops again wish me luck,” Rock wrote in an Instagram post Monday, along with a selfie of himself behind the wheel of a car with a blue light shining through his rear window.

A month earlier, Rock posted another selfie with the caption: “I’m not even driving stop [sic] by the cops again.”

That followed a post from two months ago after another traffic stop, “Just got pulled over by the cops wish me luck,” he captioned a photo of himself taken during the daytime so you can clearly see the patrol car behind him.

As for Washington, despite being pummeled on social media, the ex-“Grey’s Anatomy” star took the controversy in stride. In fact, he revealed the spirited debate had landed him a chat with CNN anchor Don Lemon.
