Ice-T, Public Enemy, Naughty By Nature, Mobb Deep, EPMD, the Sugarhill Gang and Kurtis Blow will join forces for SiriusXM Backspin’s the Art of Rap Festival Tour, which kicks off July 16th in Dallas, Texas and concludes August 6th. The all-star, eight-date trek – also featuring Grandmaster Melle Mel, Scorpio and MC Lyte – follows Ice-T’s 2012 documentary Something From Nothing: The Art of Rap and its corresponding 2015 California fest.

“Hip-hop is the most powerful and influential cultural movement since rock and roll,” Ice-T said in a statement. “A true art form that deserves respect.”

The festival is presented by SiriusXM’s classic Eighties and Nineties hip-hop station, Backspin. Listeners will have the chance to purchase pre-sale tickets on Thursday, May 12th, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. local time.

Starting May 13th at 4 p.m. ET, SiriusXM subscribers since April 28th can enter to win a trip to New York – including round-trip airfare, two nights’ hotel stay, two VIP tickets to the July 29th show at Brooklyn’s Coney Island Amphitheater and the opportunity to meet select artists.
