UPDATE: This is newly released footage of a 2014 arrest in which sheriff’s deputies were seen beating a suspect in Marion County, Florida. Four of the deputies resigned last August and pleaded guilty in federal court. A fifth was indicted on Wednesday.
Officers tried to lie by saying the suspect Derrick Price resisted arrest and was combative when you can clearly see in the video that he not only surrendered but he was submissive and non combative.
We hear the saying all the time that not all cops are bad but each one of these cops were bad, egregious and utterly disgusting. They felt if they yelled stop resisting it would make for a good case when they try to lie to the judge and get this man a longer sentence.
Price, 44, who has no previous arrests, is still facing drug charges.
