New Music: Future Drops New Mixtape “Purple Reign”

Just when you’ve run out of Dirty Sprite, Future pours up another round with Purple Reign. On Sunday morning (Jan. 16), the Atlanta rapper surprised his fans and dropped a new mixtape, his sixth consecutive project since 2014. Executive produced by DJ Esco and Metro Boomin, the 13 tracks feature contributions from Zaytoven, DJ Spinz, and Southside.

Purple Reign follows a slew of mixtapes from Future including 2014’s Monster, 2015’s Beast Mode and 56 Nights, plus his chart-topping album DS2 and joint project with Drake, What a Time to Be Alive.

On Feb. 17, Future will kick off his 22-city “Purple Reign” tour in Madison, Wis. with special guest Ty Dolla $ign.
