According to multiple reports, Atlanta rapper Bankroll Fresh was shot and killed. 2 Chainz, who signed Bankroll to his The REAL University (T.R.U.) label, seemed to address the situation on Twitter after he wrote, “Man I’m a fan of Bru and always will be , I’m in shock at the moment !! Senseless deaths we just got to stop it , I’m speaking up now.”

Producer Cardo, who has worked with notable artists like Kendrick Lamar, Jay Z, Drake, and 2 Chainz, tweeted about the situation, giving fans more information. After tweeting, “RIP Bankroll Fresh … I’m loss for words,” Cardo retweeted a news report from Atlanta’s 11 Alive, which revealed that police were investigating a shooting outside of Street Execs Studio, where “50+ shell casings” were found.

11 Alive later reported that while the name of the person shot outside of the studio wasn’t released, they added that “officials on the scene said he was a rap artist and was in his 20s.” It was reported that the victim died in transit to the hospital.
