cracked-egg

For all their culinary versatility, eggs are often more trouble than they’re worth. They’re great for any meal, essential in many baking recipes, taste great in a salad, and—as I learned during a Flickr image search—make a great addition to sushi. But getting the first crack at breaking an egg can prove to be difficult.

Eggs drip and make a mess. It can be difficult to split when you need only the egg whites or the yolk. And trying to get everything done without having to dig out the eggshells? Good luck.

Of course, if you’re like this 16-month-old girl, you’ve got everything under control. Her parents are by her side, but she can do it just fine—and better than most of us—without them. She’s a chef in the making.

Teach us your ways, young one.
