Caylen Candy and Chyanne Powell had been on a 12 hour drinking binge when they kidnapped the young girl from the street.
After taking the girl back to Powell’s flat in Waltham Cross, Hertfordshire, they forced her to strip, cut chunks of her hair off, made her sit in a freezing cold bath and even forced her to masturbate.
During the hours of horror a series of other terrible punishments were meted out on the defenceless girl, including pouring salt down her throat and holding her head under water for up to ten seconds at a time.
To add the the girl’s humiliation her tormentors filmed and took photos throughout the ordeal.
Part way through the ordeal David Appiah, 21, arrived at the flat and was shown naked pictures of the girl.
Appiah then covertly sent text messages to Candy and Powell, saying: ‘She is pissing me off. Make her fully strip.’
‘I don’t want to f*** her. I have standards,’ read another message.
Candy and Powell, who are both now 18, also sent images of the abuse to another defendant Sanjay Kalia, 18, who responded with comments such as: ‘You lot should f…. her up,’ and ‘Make the most of it – she is pussy.’
Chyanne Powell was sentenced to 7 and a half years, with a 3 year extended licence, after pleading guilty to attempted robbery, false imprisonment, three charges of causing actual bodily harm, causing a child to engage in sexual activity, inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, taking and distributing indecent photographs of a child.
Sanjay Kalia was sentenced to five and a half years detention for his part in the crime, while David Appiah was sentenced to 8 and a half years in jail, with a 3 year extended licence.
Judge Stephen Warner told the four defendants, who will all be on the Sex Offender Register for life: ‘It was humiliating and belittling and showed a callous indifference to a visibly distressed victim who was pleading to be let go.
‘What was she was subjected to was nothing short of torture – physically and psychologically – done for your amusement and gratification.’
