A 10-year-old girl who was airlifted from the Magic Mountain theme park in Valencia after riding a roller coaster Friday has died, the coroner’s office confirmed Monday morning.
The girl was riding the Revolution roller coaster and was unconscious but breathing when she returned to the station, Magic Mountain said in a statement Friday.
Paramedics were called to the scene and took the patient by helicopter to a local hospital at about 4 p.m., according to a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
It was unclear if the girl’s condition was ride-related, according to the Fire Department.
The girl, identified as Jasmine Martinez, from Somis, died on Saturday, Ed Winter of the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office said Monday.
An autopsy on Martinez was pending, the coroner’s office stated
