10 people were arrested in Rome Georgia accused of stealing four million dollars in tax payers money from the Board of Education.
Per police, the investigation started back in 2014 where the suspects were under surveillance, The cops were tipped off that the workers in the districts maintenance program were making lots of illegal purchases which included large ticket items such as homes, duplex apartments, automobiles, computers, HD TV’s, and firearms.
All ten suspects are facing fraud, racketeering, and grand theft charges. Police are saying there are many more arrests coming soon.
