Young & The Restless star Kristoff St. John’s son died; Mia St. John says he was set free from pain 

Mental illness can affect anyone. It doesn’t care if you are rich or poor. It doesn’t matter if you are talented artist, or your father is a famous actor. Fans watched as Robin Williams suffered in silence and decided to end his life just a few months ago. Mia and Kristoff St. John (Neil Winters on “Young and the Restless”) announced on Twitter on Nov. 28 that their son, Jullian decided to end his suffering from mental illness.

Julian has often described as a very talented artist. He has suffered fromsevere depression most of his life. At one time, he was homeless, sleeping in public restrooms or the occasional hotel room. He battled addiction, mental illness, and scrapes with the law.

His mother, Mia wrote that Julian was a beautiful soul. He was a talented artist who fought hard against a disease that currently hasno cure. She refused to say he lost his battle with mental illness- she believes he decided to set himself free from suffering anymore. His family will continue to fight for a cure for mental illness. She notes she may not see a cure in her lifetime, but one day they will have a cure for schizophrenia and other mental health disorders.

On December 5, his funeral will be held. It would have also been his 25th birthday on that day. After the funeral service, there will be a reception and art exhibit that will showcase his final artwork. Julian leaves behind a family that loved him, and will miss him every day.
