WOW!! NYPD Are Allegedly Getting Threats From The Latin Kings

Latin Kings gang members have allegedly planned to assault officers at the W. Farms Road and E. Tremont Avenue intersection in the borough’s Castle Hill neighborhood, the source said. The attack was allegedly scheduled to occur the week of January 19th, the department’s Intelligiance Bureau notified officers Sunday.

The information comes at a tense time for police-community relations: Since the Michael Brown and Eric Garner non-indictments, activists have staged constant demonstrations against police brutality in the city.

Things came to a head when Mayor Bill de Blasio mentioned he advises his Black son to be careful around police. Many officers interpreted that as a criticism of them.

Consequently, at the funerals of slain NYPD officers Wenjian Liu and Rafael Ramos, thousands of police officers turned their backs on the mayor during his speech (pictured).

The Latin Kings’ reported threats are similar to the ones that followed Liu’s and Ramos’ murders in Brooklyn. In response, the department arrested six people for threats against officers, and they investigated 40 threat probes in total.

Late last month, the department received a 911 call from a man claiming he heard someone talking about killing cops on his cell phone.

Officers provided descriptions of the suspect and combed the Queens neighborhood where the call came from. They soon arrested Elvin Payamps, discovering a pistol, brass knuckles, two bulletproof vests, and a shotgun in his home.
