Woman Writes Her Own Prescriptions After Stealing Prescription Pad

I tell you things get more and more bizarre everyday. I have heard of “script” pad being stolen but never to write prescriptions for oneself.

Check it out as reported by MS News Now:

The Warren County Sheriffs Office has arrested a woman who is accused of stealing a prescription pad and writing her own prescriptions.

27-year-old LaShonda Coleman from Hazelhurst turned herself in on Wednesday afternoon.

Warren County Sheriffs Office says an investigation was ongoing for several weeks involving DEA and Warren SO Narcotics investigators.

Officials say that on 8 different occasions during the month of May, Coleman went to pharmacies and wrote herself prescriptions for 180 hydrocodone tablets, 180 xanax tablets and 8 ounces of liquid codeine.

Coleman’s initial court appearance was Thursday morning. Her bond has been set at $12K
