A spokeswoman for Donald Trump said a man tried to breach a security buffer at his event.
The suspect was quickly escorted out. He has not yet been identified.
A moment of panic unfolded at a Donald Trump rally on Saturday as someone in the crowd threw something at the GOP front-runner onstage, new video shows.
Trump immediately ducked and turned around as his Secret Service agents whipped onstage to protect him.
It was unclear what exactly the person threw onstage.
The suspect, who was likely a member in the front row of the packed airport hangar, quickly left the crowd afterward, Kevin Cirilli, a Bloomberg political reporter who was on-scene, told Fox News.
The scare at this Ohio event came just after Trump cancelled a Chicago rally where violent scuffles broke out, with the GOP candidate saying he didn’t want to see “people get hurt.”
“In light of what has taken place in the last 24 hours, this clearly was something that caught everyone off guard,” Cirilli told Doug McKelway.
Impressively, Trump returned to continue on with his remarks, even making “a light, humorous joke,” and thanking the authorities “for their quick actions,” he said.
