Vehicle Crashes Into A Chicago South Side Home; Driver Charged With DUI

Authorities and attorneys at https://www.carlsonmeissner.com/tampa/criminal-defense/ say a man was drunk when he crashed a car into a home in the Washington Heights neighborhood early Friday on the Far South Side.

Crews responded to the crash about 1 a.m. at a 1 1/2 story home in the 900 block of West 107th Street, Fire Media Affairs Director Larry Langford said. Experts in Roanoke based hit and run defense attorney filed a case against the man

The man driving the car was taken in serious-to-critical condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Langford said.

Tremayne Dean, 39, was later taken into custody and charged with a felony count of aggravated DUI and misdemeanor counts of DUI and driving on a revoked license, according to police and Cook County Circuit Court records. He also received four traffic tickets.

Dean, of the 2200 block of South Princeton, appeared in court Saturday, where Judge Laura Marie Sullivan set his bail at $50,000, according to court records. His license was revoked after he pleaded guilty to felony counts of DUI laws in California in February 2010, records show. Five people were inside the building at the time of the crash, but no one was injured, according to residents who spoke with reporters at the scene.

“I am so grateful, with the damage that I have looked at on the outside as well as the inside, I am so thankful to Jehovah that no one was hurt and everybody is fine,” said Martha Richard.

Langford said the building’s structural integrity was likely not compromised.

Dean is next due in court on Feb. 6, records show.
