Police say the actor is currently in jail but hasn’t been charged yet.
The “Transformers” actor was being disruptive during the first act of the Tony-nominated play, which stars Michelle Williams and Alan Cumming, when police handcuffed him during intermission and escorted him out of Studio 54.
Tony-nominee Benj Pasek tweeted that he saw LaBeouf in tears outside of the venue in New York.

LaBeouf recently made headlines for his “performance art” in Los Angeles and Berlin, where he displayed a paper bag over his head with the words “I’m Not Famous Anymore,” which was accompanied by an art installation in L.A.
It’s unclear whether the “Cabaret” incident was part of his artistic endeavors.
