A teenage girl is accused of stabbing her best friend 65 times. Police believe she wanted revenge after the other girl uploaded naked photos the two had taken together to Facebook.
Erandy Elizabeth Gutierrez, 16, allegedly stabbed Anel Baez, also 16, at Baez’s Guamúchil, Mexico home on March 19. Baez died in the attack, and Gutierrez was arrested 3 days later at her former friend’s funeral.
Baez had wanted Gutierrez to come over so the two could patch things up, but when Gutierrez asked if she could use the bathroom, she allegedly grabbed a knife from the kitchen instead.
“It may seem that I am very calm, but in my head I have killed you at least three times,” Gutierrez reportedly wrote on a now-deleted account.
Police are likely to charge Gutierrez with murder later this week. If she’s prosecuted as a juvenile, she’ll face 7 years in prison.
