A success in London, New York City and Los Angeles, a new outdoor movies experience is debuting in Chicago in June. Rooftop Cinema Club, launched in London in 2011, offers a more structured al fresco screening experience—you don’t even need to bring your own blankets and lawn chairs.

With movie screenings five nights a week throughout the summer atop the DoubleTree by Hilton—Magnificent Mile, Rooftop Cinema Club provides comfy lawn chairs (and blankets on request) along with wireless headphones, so you can concentrate on the movie and not your neighbors’ conversation. Food and drink concessions are provided by DoubleTree.

The series opens with a week’s worth of Chicago movies, including High Fidelity, The Blues Brothers, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, My Best Friend’s Wedding and The Breakfast Club. The rest of the first month features everything from classics like Casablanca to newer hits like Straight Outta Compton and Room.

Doors open every night Wednesday through Sunday at 6pm, with screenings starting around 8:30pm. General admission tickets are $15 (plus booking fee); $25 tickets (plus fee) get you a drink and unlimited popcorn with admission. Buy exclusively through Time Out at the links below, and we’ll see you at the rooftop!
