Fans were totally freaking out after up-and-comer August Alsina, 22, collapsed in the middle of performing at the Irving Plaza in New York City on Sept. 15. He was wheeled away on a stretcher, according to a report from TMZ! Now, a member of his personal security has released a statement updating August’s fans on the R&B singer’s condition and the reason for his collapse.
Here’s the statement that Terrance Holloway released on Instagram early in the morning of Sept. 16:
“Hey everybody! Asina nation; all our auggies! While it was definitely a scary moment for his fans, the fact that he passed out is no real surprise: he has been touring like crazy to promote his debut album,Testimony. The tour kicked off August 14 in Seattle, Washington, and doesn’t end until Sept. 17 in Kansas City, Missouri.
If that doesn’t sound like a lot, the tour crosses the United States for a total of 20 dates in a month-long period. After that wraps, he’ll still be touring around the world, playing shows in London, Montreal, Vancouver, and more!
