Riot Fest Chicago:  Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, Rancid Performing Full Albums at Riot Fest

 

The multi-city Riot Fest is back this fall. Denver’s fest is from August 28-30. The Chicago festtakes place at Douglas Park from September 11-13. Toronto’s happens at Downsview Park from September 19-20. Today, the lineups for all three fests have been announced.

In Chicago, several artists will perform their classic albums in full, including Snoop Dogg (Doggystyle), Ice Cube with special guests (Straight Outta Compton remix), and Rancid (…And Out Come the Wolves). The lineup also features Modest Mouse, Faith No More, Iggy Pop, Drive Like Jehu, De La Soul, No Doubt, L7, Thurston Moore Band, Eagles of Death Metal, Speedy Ortiz, Andrew W.K., Against Me!, Desaparecidos, Babes in Toyland, Swervedriver, Motörhead, Alvvays, the Damned, Heems, Lee “Scratch” Perry, Damian “Junior Gong” Marley, Gwar, Death, Joyce Manor, Main Attrakionz, Tenacious D, Billy Idol, FIDLAR, Echo & the Bunnymen, Jimmy Cliff, Tommy Stinson, Merle Haggard, Bootsy Collins, the Coathangers, and many more.

Denver’s lineup features Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, and Rancid doing their full-album sets. It also features Modest Mouse, Run DMC, Iggy Pop, Pixies, Explosions in the Sky, Motörhead, Drive Like Jehu, L7, Babes in Toyland, the Damned, GZA, Eagles of Death Metal, Desaparecidos, De La Soul, Andrew W.K., the Black Lips, Gwar, Swervedriver, OFF!, Joyce Manor, Speedy Ortiz, the Hotelier, Main Attrakionz, and more.

Toronto’s lineup features Wu-Tang Clan, Tyler the Creator, Drive Like Jehu, Rancid (doing …And Out Come the Wolves), Babes in Toyland, Andrew W.K., Eagles of Death Metal, Against Me!, Thurston Moore Band, Motörhead, Atmosphere, Echo & the Bunnymen, the Joy Formidable, FIDLAR, and others.

This year’s Chicago festival takes place at Douglas Park. It previously was held at Humboldt Park, but were asked not to return after Alderman Roberto Maldonado swore that the festival wouldn’t be welcomed back. Humboldt Park’s grounds were reportedly heavily damaged after last year’s festival.
