Shayne Lamas miscarried after being rushed to the hospital, but is otherwise in good condition after a medical emergency, according to her father.

“We are so grateful that my daughter, Shayne Lamas-Richie, is conscious and stable. She is not in a coma, however she did miscarry the child she was carrying,” Lorenzo Lamas told PEOPLE Monday afterreports broke that the former E! and The Bachelor star, 28, was in a coma.

“We are so very grateful to the hospital personnel and the doctors who saved her life last night.”

His statement continued: “Shayne is aware of her condition and that her family and her husband are here with her and love her so much. She will be remaining in the hospital until her doctors determine that she can be released.”

Lamas, who was expecting her second child with husband Nik Richie, apparently collapsed in her Orange County, Calif., home and was taken to the hospital, where doctors said she was bleeding internally around her uterus.

Following an operation, Lamas lost her child. She was 16 weeks into her pregnancy. The couple’s daughter Press is 2.

Richie posted a message Monday on his NSFW site, TheDirty.com, but didn’t address the incident directly:

“I’m going to take some personal days off from the blogging world. Unfortunate things happen to good people,” he wrote.

“I’m not the best person in the world, but I love my wife and my family. Shayne is my good person. She is my support and my smile. I found you and I never want to let you go. We will overcome.”
