Press Release: Chicago Professional Women’s Basketball Team “Chicago Breeze”

(CHICAGO,IL.) –The Women’s Minor League Basketball Association (WMLBA) in conjunction with Chicago native Shajaunna M. Jordan will announce the Chicago Breeze a New Professional Women’s Basketball Team; based on the Southside of Chicago. The WMLBA was established in 2015 it offers and maintains a high-level of competition while providing a platform that showcases the best available talent.

Chicago Breeze is honored to announce Constance Jinks, a former WNBA/Overseas professional basketball player as the New Head Coach/General Manager. Jinks has extensive knowledge of the game and her 12 years of professional playing experience makes her an outstanding leader for the Chicago Breeze. The Chicago Breeze will start its inaugural season on May 13, 2017 at the Ray and Joan Kroc Center (1250 W. 119th St.).   

This new professional women’s basketball team will provide training camps, girls basketball camps and clinics, and community outreach to the south side community through their games, free-agent camps and multiple volunteer appearances like charity work, handing out holiday meals, all while making a positive difference in the lives of those in the surrounding communities.
