Family members say a woman stabbed to death at the Walgreen’s on West Tennessee Street worked at the business.
The victim, Javona Glover, 23, is the niece of rapper T-Pain, who sent out a tweet about the stabbing.
Tallahassee police were called to the business at 2009 West Tennessee Street around 10:15 a.m. Tuesday.
A caller told dispatchers that Glover had been stabbed and was bleeding heavily.
Police say that despite medical care being administered, Glover died as a result of her injuries.
Glover has a daughter, who recently turned 2 years old.
TPD spokesman David Northway says that investigators are interviewing witnesses and processing evidence.
TPD investigators have secured a warrant for 25-year-old Tavon Q. Jackson in connection with a fatal stabbing on Tuesday morning at the Walgreens store on West Tennessee Street.
Police have also released surveillance images they say show Jackson at the time of the homicide.

Police say Jackson’s whereabouts are unknown at this time and TPD is asking anyone with information about him is asked to call the hotline at (850) 891-4298 or if they wish to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at (850) 574-TIPS.
Walgreen’s issued the following statement on Tuesday afternoon:
“We extend our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of our team member. The store is temporarily closed while police conduct their investigation and we refer you to police for any additional information. Pharmacy patients who normally use this location can have their medications filled at our nearby stores located at 313 N. Monroe St. and 140 Capital Circle.”
