Must-See: ‘SNL’ Mocks Fake Sign Language Interpreter from Mandela Memorial

Saturday Night Live spoofs Obama's and the fake intepretor at the Melson mandela memorial on Saturday Dec. 14. 2013. President Obama’s appearance at Nelson Mandela’s memorial service made plenty of headlines this past week. There was “selfie-gate” where he took selfies with British Prime Minister David Cameron and Danish prime minister Helle Thorning Schmidt. There was also the sign language interpreter who stood by him during his speech who turned out to be a fraud. Saturday Night Live took the opportunity to mock the blunder with a skit featuring Jay Pharaoh as Obama and Kenan Thompson as the phony interpreter. Watch Thompson portray the now infamous interpreter with hilarious results.
