A mother was sentenced to 10 years in prison Monday for allowing her two daughters to be raped. ABC 6 / FOX 28 is not naming the mom to protect the identities of the victims, who prosecutors said were ages eight and 14.

The mom pleaded guilty to two counts of rape for her complicity in the crimes.

Prosecutors said she was present as the girls were assaulted, by her boyfriend, and once she held one girl’s arm to calm her.

“I’m not a perfect mom, but I’ve always been there for them,” the mom said in Franklin County Common Pleas court. “My daughters mean everything to me. I would die for them. I can’t justify what I did.”

Judge Chris Brown told the mom her children “didn’t mean enough” to her.

The mom must also register as Tier III sex offender. Her boyfriend, Alberto Hernandez, 55, was sentenced to life in prison without parole last week.

A jury convicted him on four counts of rape for incidents between June 2014 and February 2015.

Hernandez has continued to claim he’s not guilty.
