Mitt Romney Say's He Would Have Been a Better President Than Obama

The former GOP presidential candidate told Fox News Sunday that he would have been a more effective leader than Barack Obama. He is also sure that he would be a better choice than Hillary Clinton in 2016, although he says he has no plans to run for office again.

Mitt Romney didn’t want to toot his own horn but couldn’t pass up the opportunity to humble-brag during an appearance on Fox News Sunday.

Romney said there was no doubt in his mind that he would have been a better choice and a more effective leader than President Barack Obama, pointing out the current high unemployment rate and growing unrest abroad.

He added that if he were to run for office in 2016—which he assured viewers he would not do—he would also be a much better choice than Hillary Clinton.

“You’ve got to get this economy going. You’ve got to have people that know what it takes to create jobs,” Romney said. “You’ve also got to have people who have actually run something. I don’t think Hillary Clinton has that experience.”

“Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama are two peas in the same pod,” he said. “And the American people have tasted that and have said, ‘Look, it’s not a good taste.’ ”

Romney did note that he lost fair and square to the president during his 2012 run at the White House. “I’m not running; I’m not planning on running,” he said. “My time has come and gone. I had that opportunity. I ran and didn’t win.”
