It’s only been a matter of days since we lost iconic singer Natalie Cole to longstanding health issues.
Today, reports are surfacing that Nicholas Caldwell of The Whispers has died after a long bout with cancer.
The Whispers began as a five-member group in 1963, made up of twin brothers Walter and Wallace Scott, Nicholas Caldwell, Marcus Hutson and Gordy Harmon. Since 2000, the band consisted of the Scott brothers, Caldwell and Leaveli Degree.
Some of the band’s biggest hits are ‘Rock Steady,’ ‘And The Beat Goes On’ and ‘It Just Gets Better With Time.’ In 2015, the group was featured on TV One’s music anthology series, ‘Unsung.’
