It is with a very heavy heart that EarHustle411 and the writing staff announce the untimely passing of a very talented woman and radio professional that the City of Chicago has grown to love very dearly.
EarHustle411 received communication of the passing of the former WGCI/WKSC Program Director and On-Air Personality Kris Kelley of iHeart Media formally known as Clear Channel. The details of her death are still unknown but the news of her death has rocked the media community quite hard.
Kris Kelly has a very impressive career in radio, she was a 15 year employee of Clear Channel and she came to Chicago in March of 2007 as the Program Director of WGCI-FM where she also served as a part-time On-Air Personality. Prior to Kelley making the move to the Windy City she held DJ and Director positions at Detroit, Michigan’s WJLB-FM and Pittsburgh, Philadelphia’s WAMO-FM. With Kelley being a Philadelphia native and a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, it was only befitting that Kris began her illustrious career in her home state.
EarHustle411 and the writing staff sends our sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Kris Kelley, we pray that God gives them strength to endure through their bereavement and that they cherish the wonderful memories of their time with Kris.
