H & M Used Black Child To Promote Printed Hoodie That Says, ” Coolest Monkey In The Jungle”

H & M may be under fire for using an African-American black boy to promote a hoodie from their brand of clothing that many find offensive and racist.  The problem occurred when they used a darker hue child with a hoodie that says, “Coolest Monkey In The Jungle“.

Some are saying the store may not have realized the impact and negative reaction that would come out of allowing the black child to wear the hoodie, however, others are saying they are insensitive and feel it was deliberate.

Ear Hustle 411 was sent the image and the link to H & M Website Where the product is being sold for $8.99.  We are not certain if the H & M is aware of the implications or the racial tone behind the promotion of this item but it does appear a bit blatant considering the racial tension plaguing society right now.

Some are defending H & M stating the parents are to blame because they approved and picked the clothing their child would be wearing and as long as the parents were o.k with it there should be no problem.

What are your thoughts, Is this insensitive or would you say there is no problem?  Chime in and let Ear Hustle 411 know what you think.
