In Greek News: Sandra Bland’s Mother Gets Inducted Into Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.

The weather may have had rain in its forecast in the Midwest but Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated’s forecast says sunshine all the way in the Southeast. It’s a great day for the ladies of the Rhoyal Blue and Gold because as each passing day they are still haunted by the tragic loss of their own Sandra Bland who was a dedicated member and a very outspoken activist to the things that affect humanity primarily the African-American community.

We know that Sandra Bland is smiling and rejoicing today because her mother Geneva Reed-Veal was inducted into the organization on Sunday, April 3, 2016 at the organizations Southeastern’s 76th Annual Regional Conference which took place in beautiful Miami, Florida

Reed-Veal’s induction has sent waves of joyous emotions throughout the organization. She stated:

“I am honored to be apart of the sisterhood, I can now finish out Sandy’s legacy she loved the kids and education and now I can be an extended arm of that”.

Reed-Veal was not the only induction that has the organization jumping for joy. A young woman who has been an activist on behalf of Sandra Bland was also extended the arms of sisterhood. Hanna Adair Bonner was inducted alongside Sandra Bland’s mother and her words she spoke to the members were

“I’m grateful to my sisters of Sigma Gamma Rho for welcoming me in and look forward to working together to make sure the world HEARS HER”(referring to Sandra Bland).
