The failed Alabama Senate candidate and accused child molester asked his few remaining supporters Thursday to lend him a financial hand because his “resources have been depleted.”

“I have struggled to make ends meet, but I have not lost my faith in our God, who is our true source of strength, and will never leave or forsake us,” the 71-year-old Republican said in a lengthy statement.

Moore, who’s been accused of sexually assaulting and harassing several teenage girls, has refused to concede the Alabama Senate race he lost to Democrat Doug Jones in December. Moore has desperately tried to raise funds for an independent vote recount after state officials refused to, noting that he lost by too wide of a margin.

Despite the shocking allegations against Moore, President Trump went out of his way to endorse his hard-right campaign for Senate, vowing that the ex-judge will “always vote with us.”

Echoing his campaign trail tough talk, Moore blamed “anti-Christian,” “ultra-liberal” left-wingers for his financial despair.

“Gays, lesbians, and transgenders have joined forces with those who believe in abortion, sodomy, and destruction of all that we hold dear,” Moore said. “Unless we stand together we will lose our Country.”

Moore has denied the shocking and disturbing allegations against him, including claims that he molested a 14-year-old and sexually assaulted a 16-year-old in the late 1970s when he was in his 30s.

On Thursday, Moore admitted that he’s no “hero,” but complained that the accusations have left his family strapped for cash.

“I’m sure that you cannot imagine how this has taken a toll on my wife, my children, and even my friends,” he said.
