If you were ever a fan of Video Soul with host Donnie Simpson, well HE’S BACK!! He has inked a deal with TVOne and Majic.  EarHustle411 can recall back in the day when this pretty-eyed gentleman graced the small screen as a  “Video Deejay”.  As with life things can and do change and the DC area residents are in for a real radio treat.

SILVER SPRING, Md. (WUSA9) — For the first time in five years, D.C. area residents heard legendary radio personality Donnie Simpson’s voice live on the airwaves.

Simpson made his debut Monday with Adult Contemporary station Majic102.3, where he will host an afternoon talk show.

“What I bring I guess is a freshness that’s not programmed, it’s all off the cuff. It’s whatever happens, going with the flow,” Simpson said. “I think radio lost that, and that’s what people miss about radio,”

Simpson’s co-host for his new show is Traci Braxton, a reality television star and Maryland native. Their first show was full of guest callers, including D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser and Babyface.
