How did you begin writing? Did you intend to become an author, or do you have a specific reason for writing your book?

I began writing as a young girl probably around the age of 9.  I would have dreams and write them down as well as keeping a diary that someone had given to me.  I’ve always thought it would be cool to write a book.

Where did you get the inspiration to write “21 Day Positivity Challenge To Eliminate Stinking Thinking”?

I was battling depression actually and decided to embark upon a spiritual consecration.  Each day my prayer partner and I studied 1 scripture from the 37 Psalms.  I asked God to give me something each day to work on within myself.  There was a theme or focal point for each day.  From there I just expounded on my thoughts of what happened throughout my daily journeys.

Do you hear from your readers much? What kinds of things do they say?

Ironically enough I do hear from some of my regular  21 Day Positivity Challengers.  It’s almost like we can feel when it’s time to start the challenge again and I’ll start getting people reaching out to me with questions about  when the next challenge will begin.

Do you have any suggestion to help other inspiring writers who may want to become an author?

Actually I do!  Just do it!  Start writing, set a finish date and believe in yourself.

Who designed your book cover?

I chose that cover from the site I used to self publish my work.

What was the hardest part of writing your book?

I would have to say the editing portion which required reading it over and over again and paying very close attention to detail.

Do you see writing as a full time career?

Sure with the right opportunity.  Absolutely!

What did you learn about yourself while writing your book?

I learned that going through tests and trials is not only for you but to help someone else who may be experiencing the same or something similar.  Also that your gifts will definitely make room for you and open up doors of opportunity.

What were the challenges (research, literary, psychological, and logistical) in bringing it to life?

My personal challenges were in the themes used for each day.  My focus was most times challenged even the more in the topics that I chose to write on.

We know you are published through Royalty Enterprises, Is this your company?

It’s my company name since I self published the first time and plan to have more works published.

Where are you from and how did that impact your creativeness when writing?

I was born in Evanston, Illinois but raised primarily in Skokie, Illinois.  I went to Evanston Township which is primarily a multi-cultural environment.  This I believe, helped me to become and remain very open in communicating  socially.

What authors do you like to read? What book or books have had a strong influence on you or your writing?

I really like Tyrese Gibson and Mike Murdock. They are very informative, enlightening and eye opening writers.

Do you have any specific or quirky writing rituals?

LOL…um I would say I find it easier for me to write more clearly when I’ve been fasting or meditating.  I love, love, love writing at the lake or on the water.  It’s my most calming and relaxing time.

Do you meet your readers at book signings, conventions, or similar events?

I’ve not had a formal book signing yet.  I have however had  several occasions to speak and share on my book and have met lots of people and made some great connections.  My book signing will happen with the next work.

Where can your readers find you via social network and how can they purchase your book?

Readers can find me on face book, I have an open page where I host the challenges every couple of months ~  21 Day Positivity Challenge to Eliminate Stinking Thinking.

I’m just staring a prayer page as well called POSITIVE PRAYER AND SPOTLIGHT where I’m sharing prayers against violence for families and youth and then prayer in general and spotlighting positive people in their respective communities.
