Have you ever wondered if your favorite restaurant, coffee shop, bar or grocery store license is suspended? Most people will not question their local store if it is open and fully operationing.
Ear Hustle 411 discovered a Dunkin Donuts that is located at 4755 N. Kimball in Chicago had it license suspended on Wednesday September 29, 2017. After speaking with several people in the area, we also learned this location removed the license suspended sign and operated as normal.
Ear Hustle 411 visited this Dunkin Donuts on Tuesday October 3, 2017 at approximately 8AM and they were open and serving customers. While there, we was informed that the manager will be closinf after the morning rush. We went back to this location at 7PM and the store was closed and the license suspended sign was posted.
We researched online and found that his location was inspected on Wednesday Sept. 27, Friday Sept. 29 and October 2, 2017 and they failed their inspection every time. Below you will found the violations found on Monday October 2, 2017.

- Comments: FOOD (ICE) NOT PROTECTED DURING STORAGE INSIDE OF THE ICE MACHINE.
- OBSERVED BLACK SLIMY SUBSTANCE ON INTERIOR WATER COMPONENTS OF THE ICE MACHINE WHICH USED FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION.
- MANAGEMENT INSTRUCTED TO TURN OFF MACHINE, REMOVE ICE AND HAVE INTERIOR OF ICE MACHINE CLEANED AND SANITIZED AND MAINTAIN. SERIOUS VIOLATION 7-38-005(A). |
- 35. WALLS, CEILINGS, ATTACHED EQUIPMENT CONSTRUCTED PER CODE: GOOD REPAIR, SURFACES CLEAN AND DUST-LESS CLEANING METHODS – Comments: CORRECTED. |
- 41. PREMISES MAINTAINED FREE OF LITTER, UNNECESSARY ARTICLES, CLEANING EQUIPMENT PROPERLY STORED – Comments: OBSERVED CLUTTTERED CONDITIONS IN A STORAGE ROOM LOCATED ACROSS THE STREET, UNNECESARRY ARTICLES MUST BE REMOVED DUE TO POTENTIAL PEST HARBORAGE.
When we visited the store on Wednesday October 4, 2017, it was closed and all signage was posted.
