Donald Trump’s Walk Of Fame Star In Jeopardy Of Removal Due To Extreme Vandalism

It has been revealed that the Hollywood Historic Trust is considering removing Donald Trump’s star off the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The reason? Because people just can’t stop themselves from defacing it.

There has been the traditional vandalism, with messages expressing their disgust with the presidential candidate scrawled all over the star.

One activist spray painted the mute symbol over his name in clear protest of Trump’s famously hateful and racist rhetoric.

Another person drew a swastika — though as Twitter user Rhoda Sharp pointed out, it’s hard to tell whether the swastika is a criticism or a vote of confidence, given Trump’s popularity among hate groups.

Even the animal kingdom has expressed its distaste with Trump, as this service dog felt compelled to move its bowels at the mere sight of his name on the sidewalk. Here’s a photo of the dog looking quite pleased with itself sitting next to its handiwork.

Humans have had similar impulses, with people proudly posting pictures of themselves spitting and urinating on Trump’s star.

Trump would be the first star to ever be removed from the Walk of Fame. The Hollywood Historic Trust has even refused to remove Bill Cosby’s name following his rape allegations.

“Once a star has been added to the Walk,” said Leron Gubler, Hollywood Chamber of Commerce president and CEO, “it is considered a part of the historic fabric of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Because of this, we have never removed a star from the Walk.”

However, the city of Los Angeles has clearly spoken. If these acts of protest continue to persist, activists may succeed in forcing them to rid Hollywood Boulevard of a star which has come to represent a memorial for hate.
