A former member of Destiny’s Child was arrested for public intoxication in Georgia on Thursday, PEOPLE confirms.
Dekalb County police arrested Farrah Franklin outside of a Planet Fitness gym for public intoxication and possession of marijuana at around 3 a.m., a Dekalb County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson tells PEOPLE.
“She was at the gym and there was an argument with another individual,” the spokesperson says.
Officers soon arrived and asked Franklin how much alcohol she drank, the spokesperson says the singer allegedly replied, “Not enough.”
Police also found weed in the woman’s purse, the spokesperson adds.
Franklin, 35, was held for a few hours before being released.
The singer was previously arrested in 2014 in South Carolina for disorderly conduct.
Franklin was a member of the Beyoncé-fronted girl group for just five months in 2000.
The group’s then-manager Mathew Knowles (“Beyoncé’s father) told MTV News that Franklin was fired after she missed a promotional trip to Australia.
“The bottom line is that Farrah didn’t show up for work,” Knowles said. “I just don’t think she knew what she was getting into when she joined the group.”
