Countess Vaughn’s Health Crises Due to Lace Front Wig

Most people remember Countess Vaughn from the Parkers as well as Moesha.  She was always one that enjoyed fashion, wigs and many different styles.  It’s been a while since Countess has graced us with her presence and her infectious laugh.  Lately, Countess has not been laughing because she has been dealing with health issues stemming from wearing lace-front wigs over an extended period of time.

The adhesive which is applied to the hairline as well as the constant wearing of the wigs with the glue applied has cause a massive infection which have caused discoloration of her skin and tremendous hair loss.

Some women wear lace front wigs for the simple convenience of shielding their own hair from damage and changing their style. Others use these wigs to conceal severe hair loss from illness such as cancer or even stress.

Most women hope that their usage of lace front wigs increases not only their style, but the recovery of their own natural hair from damage or the risk of damage. However, many women fail to realize that over time, lace front wigs can gradually inflict the same damage they were trying to avoid from other styling methods.

u can still wear the lace fronts..just don’t use the glue, bobby pins will do the trick for holding it in place this way u can let your own hair breathe..by taking it off whenever you please

I love my lace front wigs and wear them often, however I never was fond of the glue! I mostly put 2 cornrow braids going to the back of my head and have my wig sewed in with just a few stitches here and there. Its the best goes it doesn’t move! Poor girl, who has had BAD advisors!!!
