Arizona police showed up at Arizona resident Esmeralda Rossi’s home just as she was getting out of the shower. When she claimed that she wanted to film their encounter before resuming their conversation, she closed her front door in an attempt to go get her cell phone. The cops apparently didn’t like the idea of being filmed, and what happened next is truly disturbing. Instead of waiting there, the police had opened her door and chased after her. The worst part? She was naked underneath her towel, but that didn’t stop the cops from putting their hands on her. She said:

“I felt helpless. I felt violated. And, honestly, I felt molested.”

Fortunately, her teenage daughter also had her cell phone out and got most of the incident on tape.

Rossi described the shocking scene:

“So, I closed the door. I turn to go into my living room, and I probably get about five steps in; and all of a sudden, I just hear boots running in after me, telling me stop or I’ll arrest you.”

This wasn’t even an emergency call. The cops were only wanting to question her about an alleged argument with her ex-husband.

Even then, there would have been absolutely no excuse for the cops to do what they did. The fact that it was such a minor call just makes the conduct of the officers that much more reprehensible.

The officer was apparently mad that Rossi was giving him a little attitude, but that’s entirely understandable – especially when the officers had no right to be there in the first place.

Marc Victor, Rossi’s attorney, called the cop’s actions “barbaric,” and “disgusting.”

“Anyone of us would be upset if a police officer barged into our homes without permisson. She had a right to be upset.”

Officer Rose threatened her with jail time, even though she had done nothing wrong.

When the officer attempted to unlawfully arrest her, her towel dropped to the floor, completely revealing her entire naked backside to him.

Rossi said that not only had this “humiliated” her, but it was a reminder of her youth when she was a victim of molestation. This incident rehashed a lot of old memories and embarrassed her in front of her younger daughter.

You can see officer Rose trying to assert his authority over her in the video while completely disregarding his own behavior:

“Don’t take the attitude with cops, because we don’t play. When a cop shows up, you’re not the one in charge. I don’t care if this is your house.”

This is an absolute abuse of power.

Officer Rose decided to retire (because he knew he was in the wrong) during an internal investigation, yet he still received his pension.

According to his file, no disciplinary actions were ever taken against him or his fellow officer.

Throughout all of this, Rossi was never even charged with a single crime and is in the process of possibly filing a lawsuit against the department for their despicable actions. While cops are known for over-asserting authority when not being shown respect, doing this to a woman inside her own home, after illegally entering in the first place, is just beyond words. Justice will not have taken place until Officer Rose receives a punishment or reprimand equal to the harm he has committed in the community he was sworn to protect. Merely going into retirement, with his pension, just doesn’t cut it.
