“Cincinnati Man Convicted of Raping Baby and Child Then Posting Video and Images Online”

CINCINNATI – A Cincinnati man was convicted Thursday of producing child pornography videos and photos involving an 11-month-old and a 9-year-old.

James O. Napier, 39, posted the videos and images on the Internet.

During Napier’s trial, which began Jan. 13, testimony showed he used the 11-month-old in November of 2009 for sexual gratification, molested the infant and made a video recording of it before placing it online.

FBI agents began investigating Napier after receiving information from the FBI office in Phoenix, Ariz., that Napier was advertising the sale of child pornography on a website. FBI agents arrested him on Jan. 18, 2013. He has been held without bond.

After less than one hour of deliberation, a jury convicted Napier of nine counts of production of child pornography, each punishable by at least 15 and up to 30 years in prison.

The jury also convicted Napier of one count each of transportation of child pornography, distribution of child pornography and receipt of child pornography. Each of those crimes is punishable by at least five years and up to 20 years in prison.

A sentencing date has not been scheduled.
