Chance The Rapper has raised more than $60,000 through the Warmest Winter campaign to provide coats to the homeless of Chicago.

On Friday (December 25), the emcee announced the funds raised on Twitter.

The Warmest Winter initiative is a partnership with The Empowerment Plan, a Detroit organization fighting to end homelessness. The company, which employs homeless parents as seamstresses, hopes to expand to Chicago.

The campaign’s goal is to raise $100,000 through January 13 to fund 1,000 EMPWR coats. Each coat can be transformed into a sleeping bag and duffel bag.

According to the Chicago Coalition For the Homeless, more than 125,000 people lived in homelessness in the Windy City during the 2014-2015 school year. Part of this statistic is created through information from Chicago Public Schools, which identified 20,205 homeless students.

Upon donating, people are entered into a raffle for a variety of prizes including tickets to a Chicago Bulls or Chicago White Sox game or tickets to a Chance The Rapper performance. For donating $100 to fund an entire coat, a person receives a limited edition poster and is entered in a raffle for a meet and greet with Chance The Rapper.

Visit the Warmest Winter website for more information and to donate to the cause.
